How to Effectively Research a Company

Before going to on an interview, you should always research the company you're interviewing with. This will sure to impress the interviewer as well as give the impression that you're really interested in being part of their organization. Here are some few points on what you should know about the company:

  • How long have they been around?
  • What are the products and/or services they sell?
  • What is/are their claim to fame?
  • Special recognition or awards they've received
  • How many locations do they have and are they global?

Your best source of information to these questions is their company website. LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook are great resources as well as they will provide up-to-date information as well as their current activities. Doing company research is an important part of interview preparation so don't forget it!
