The Project Engineer will have responsibility for successfully leading complex site engineering projects in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. Projects involving but not limited to Utilities and Facilities or other operations improvement initiative. The Project Engineer will own the schedule and budget, manage risks, track tasks, and ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, with quality. This position is part of a site organization and as project dictates will require flexibility. The Project Engineer will utilize Engineering knowledge (Industry standards, best practices and sound engineering principals) and Project Management skills to generate the request for funds, and to accurately scope, schedule, and monitor projects to deliver expected project results and ensure a holistic project representation. The incumbent will work with multi-functional team members to accurately estimate time, cost, and resources using standard estimating tools/techniques to ensure plans are realistic and measurable. The incumbent will be responsible for project.plans, schedules, capital request, purchase orders, and invoices. The Project Engineer must be a leader, capable of assigning and leading projects, providing direction, managing a multi-functional team, and helping to drive overall direction and strategy. The incumbent will utilize Leadership skills to create a team environment, team work, and decision making that focuses on effective team execution. The Project Engineer will articulate the goal and motivate/influence the team to achieve the goal. The incumbent will assist/mentor team member's and project leaders in project management process and techniques. The incumbent will need to have experience working in the pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. This role includes collaboration with site manufacturing, finance, IT and quality functional resources. Essential Functions Provide input to the site capital planning process, with the operations as a key focus. Provide leadership for the planning, development and implementation of tactical projects in support of site manufacturing. Provide conceptual engineering support of planning and developing site and global programs. Routinely work safely and correctly use PPE. Have a Behavior Based Safety mindset with all tasks performed.


Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; specifically in Mechanical. Previous experience with Facilities and Utilities. Plant experience at an engineering level is preferred. Not less than 5 years experience, Pharmaceutical Industry preferred. Project Engineering equipment selection and cost estimating scheduling experience are required. Practical experience in financial analysis and economic evaluation. Excellent communication skills in oral, written, and presentation situations providing clear, informative, and persuasive communication in positive and negative scenarios. Good computer skills required. Job Prerequisites Must have strong technical and analytical skills Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hr week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines. Able to use personal computer and standard office equipment such as fax and copy machines, calculator, and printers. Aptitude to learn computer programs as needed. Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Resourceful and well organized. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
